Stagecraft and Patrick Stewart...

First weekend of Stagecraft for the year, and a lot got done! Lots of cleaning, organizing and getting ready for build next weekend. Thanks to everyone who helped out!

I went to see A Life in the Theatre last night. It was very good. Patrick Stewart was very funny, who knew? Although I wonder how the show will translate for the masses who do not work in the theatre. So much of the material seems to be inside jokes for those who work in the theatre, that I'm not sure the average theatre-goer will get them. Oh well, still a good time.

Spelling Bee Casting...

Hi all...

Congratulations to the first cast of the season! I highly look forward to working and laughing with you over the next couple of months.

For those of you who auditioned and are not in the show, not to worry. Luckily you go to a school with various acting oppurtunities throughout the school year. Hopefully I'll see you at auditions for the comedy, drama, senior musical, springfest, or all four! Sorry this cast was so small, but the casts for the other shows are quite large. Yay!

Have a good weekend. I'll see the cast on Sat, and the crew on both days! It is time to get to work again :o)

Auditions this week...

Hi all...

Well, one day of auditions down, three to go.

Thanks to everyone who auditioned yesterday, and I look forward to seeing even more talent this afternoon.

For the dance audition, please remember to wear comfortable clothing that you can move in. Although this show is not dance heavy, we do want to see that you know your right from your left :o)

For those of you who are called back on Thursday, it might be in your best interest to read the show, or at least read the character synopses in the script. Scripts are in my office if you would like to sign one out.

Hi all...

One week until we all come back, and I'm finally back from the island. It has been a little bit of a culture shock. Martha's Vineyard and New York City time are NOT the same...

If anyone is interested, I just posted all the audition material for Spelling Bee on my website. Some of you eager beavers have been requesting it early, so here it is. Go get a jump on things.

If I don't see you in the next couple of days, I will certainly see you next Tuesday... hah, I made a joke...

... and I'm very excited about it!

I'm off the land of cheese and people who speak with psuedo-Norwegian accents for the next couple days... but not until after seeing American Idiot tonight and a new play at Playwrights Horizons tomorrow night.

I guess I might post and let you know my thoughts after the shows... then cheese.

At long last...

Wow...

It has been a long time since I posted... Well, it is summer and I have a lot more free time.

For those of you who keep harassing me about the shows next year... Yes, I know what they are going to be. But I'm not telling, yet. I'm not just being mean (well maybe a little,) but I'm still waiting to secure the license for the musical. As soon as that comes through, I'll post the season on the blog and on the website (remember, password: schrauf.)

Also, I've started uploading slideshows of past shows on the website. Feel free to peruse them at your leisure.

As soon as I get this last license, I will post the season.
